“It’s not the year in your life that counts, it’s the life in those years”, we all hear this quote every now and then, but this man realises it. A man so full of liveliness that even his presence can dominate you. If being silent and calm are signs of being mature then never have, he is a man so kiddish who lives life as it comes by, never regretting what he had faced but always grateful, for the people he met along that struggle.

If you ever see a man, “door se lehrata hua”, you have just met our beloved baba. Interact with him, and his wit will leave you spellbound; he is the official “Gyaan Guru” and expert who will either totally convince or confuse you. Know him, and you will be mesmerised by his thoughtfulness.

 

Vinayak Kuthiala aka “Baba” joined Gustaakh Saale in his second year, but not as an actor but as a scriptwriter, and as the journey continued, he was rather forced by his meddlesome nature to bring forth his acting talents. Termed as “Steam Engine “of Gustaakh Saale, for the steam he generates on and off the stage, he had written and acted in many plays, skits, nukkad, mime (Let’s just say, wherever he got a chance). Starting from skits like “Court Martial'' and “Duniya'' to representation in Inter- IIT in “Khichdi” and “Patan'', not taking a sigh of relief till he saw with his own eyes, his club bagging a position amongst the top in the street play “PagalKhana''. He might have completed his Btech, but his love for the club is for forever, he still hopes to see it achieving new heights, as he says,

“Abhi to sirf angaara bhadka hai, abhi shoola sulgana hai, aaj to sirf kansya pighla hai kal sona pighlana hai!!”

Vinayak sir to Gustaakh saale is just like a needle of a compass to a sailor, you can just trust it blindly. He is the one who believes, “Tu niraash ho sakta hai, hataash nahi”, and always manages to get his crew motivated, either by his legendary voice distinguishable even in the loudest places or by his presence, full of zest and enthusiasm.

 He just has this ability to form a script out of discussions, obviously with a little touch of Shayari (kyuki dil nahi tuta but dard samaj lete hai baba), and present them like he is describing his own story, so full of emotions, sentiments, feeling and sensation. His commendable efforts ("Janhit ke liye") to form Gay community in college are an epitome of how strongly and bravely he supports what he believes to be correct (not just in nukkad, in real life too ;p) . He has no regrets in life (the only one he has is going to salon- "Yaar sala baal katwa liye")

The man with ultimate and eternal intoxication in his eyes which can be easily distinguished from that of “Daaru or Sutta” …coz that is the intoxication of life. He is truly an imperfectly most perfect man, who loves to live in his utopian reality.`    

Aur jese ki baba kehte hai -

ये दुनिया क्या है… साली नौटंकी की भुक्कड़ है, ज्ञान झाडे बिना बख्शता नहीं साहब… ये भी नुक्कड़ है!!
